Not enough, Just enough, or Too Much??

A photographer friend of mine recently posed this question- "What is considered exotic now a days?"

Throughout the years the limits of everything, including Pin Up have been continuously pushed to extremes. What was once taboo and thus alluring is now all too common and readily viewable. Or is it?

Being that I'm an old fashioned girl I tend to gravitate to the Hurrell, Vargas and Elvgren styles- not that I don't also appreciate the modern pin up styles too. Obviously everyone has their own taste, and in no way do I wish to say one style is better than another. One can simply google "pin up" and see the vast array of different styles that someone (presumably not all, hopefully) consider pin up.

Curiousity brings me to ask you all the same question..."What is exotic to you?"

When i think 'exotic' I think birds....so anything with feathers i think is exotic hehe.

I guess that is true! Personally I love the peacock feathers- there is something about the vibrant blues and purples. I will have to work them into a shoot sometime!
