New Tub

It was a day like any other when my favorite pinup looked over at me and said, "When are we going to redo the bathroom." Given I was already in a bad mood I decided that it was time to start. That was 6 weeks ago.

My wife and I built, paid people to build, and moved into this house about 6 years ago. When the house was being built there was some kind of problem with the tub we ordered. The plumbers wife, our next door neighbor, talked us into getting one of those two person whirlpool corner tubs. It's had water in it 3 times in 6 years. Obviously we needed something different. Along with the whirlpool tub the other corner had a huge all tile shower. How huge was it? So huge we never put a curtain or doors on it. There's a point to me pointing that out. The base of the shower was about 2 inches of concrete that I broke up with a hammer and my son scooped into buckets with a dust pan. My son is 4 and he worked his ass off that day. My daughter helped some too handing tools and attempting to saw drywall.

As you'll see in the pictures not everything went perfect but it's in. More importantly she loves it.

We're going to do a few more things to the bathroom this fall. I'll keep ya'll updated.
