"We Are The New Vintage"
I need help with some ideas for various pinup/burlesque background set designs. I have *no* money to spend on it, so the best I've been able to come up with so far is to get some old sheets from the Goodwill and paint backgrounds on them. I once painted a graveyard over a black sheet as a backdrop for "prom pictures" at a zombie prom and it turned out to be amazing. I'm hoping I can have the same luck with that (once I figure out what kind of sets I want to/could paint).
Do you guys have any other major money saving ideas for backgrounds and props? I'd love to know!! Thanks!!
(I thought about x-posting this in the photography forum, but figured it's more of a DIY thing firstly. I may x-post this in a couple of days).

Thanks for the ideas! I'll be sure to check out Craigslist, and I just so happen to be going to a car show next weekend! :)
I've collected a few things from the free list on Craiglist that I use for props and such. Even picked up a couple of 40's and 50's radio's. I also go to the Alameda Vintage Fair every month and once in a while you find something really cheep that will make for a good prop so check local *flee markets* types for things. I once in a while will run thru all the local Thrift stores... bargains there as well.
I am definitely keeping my eyes open, especially on Craigslist. Thanks for the responses, everyone. I'll be sure to let you all know if anything cool finds its way to me! :)
