Need a new pink hair dye

For years my go-to pink hair dye has been Atomic pink by Specials Effects (and I've used Privana a few times), but now I want a pink that is a little more cotton candy and a little less fuchsia. So ladies, if you have a favorite pink, let me know what it is, what color it comes out as and what color it fades to.

Have you tried Paul Mitchell ink works? I just had a more fuscia color added yesterday but they have a gorgeous almost bubble gum pink shade I am trying as I take my hair blonder. The color is really pretty and my hair feels really soft , we will see how much it fades after washing it.

I've heard diluting Pravana with conditioner works wonders for achieving a pastel shade. I've seen it done with their purple shades, but not pink, so I don't know if it would have the same effect. Experimentation? =0D

I used to use Beyond the Zone "Party Time Pink". It was pretty good. My hair started off bleached, and when I dyed it, it was a vibrant pink. If you look it up, you should be able to see the color. I don't have a pic of it right now, but I can find it and upload it soon if you want. Anyway, it fades to a cotton-candy kind of pink. It never faded all the way out even with my bleach blonde underneath...that's my experience with pink  :) Good luck with it!

Sorry, but vegan or not, it doesn't last as long as most of the others. I like my hair dye to last as long as possible. However, if I plan on changing my hair color quickly (like if I had dyed it for a photo shoot), then Manic Panic is my choice. In this case, for the color that I want, Manic Panic isn't a choice. Their cupcake pink has never come out right.

 

Besides, pink rats are cute! I used to dye my pet rat to match my hair. LOL

Manic Panic has some really nice pinks & they have 1 tht is like a cottoncandy...

i use the one by crazy color, pinkissimo. if you dilute it with conditioner it comes out lighter, but there seems to be a magic ratio because if you dilute it a bit it comes out pastel, another bit and it doesn't come out at all. trial and error i suppose. :)

Yep, it's called Cupcake pink, it's the one I mentioned in my original post.

Pravana's vivids makes a cotton candy pink now too.

Joico is a really good color, it comes in a magenta color they sell a blender to lighten the color to a shade that best suits you.  I dont remember what it faded to but if your looking for a cotton candy color I dont think that would matter because its so light.  Probably to a funky blond pink lol  I used paul mitchell ink works and it faded ridiculously fast and pravana is also a very good choice...i used to work at a beuty supply lol
