Model Bettie Page hospitalized after heart attack

LOS ANGELES – Bettie Page, one of the most notable models of the 20th century, is hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles.

Mark Roesler, Page's agent and attorney, says Friday that the 85-year-old is "critically ill." He says she suffered a heart attack Tuesday and remains hospitalized.

He would not comment further on her condition.

Page is credited with helping set the stage for the sexual revolution of the rebellious 1960s. She attracted national attention with magazine photographs of her sensuous figure in bikinis and lingerie that were tacked up on walls in military barracks, garages and elsewhere.

Just watched Bettie Page in Teasarama & Varietease again....BP is so beautiful & alluring in photos...but there aren't many video clips of her...wish there were more. It's so amazing to watch the Queen of Curves in motion! My prayers go out to you Miss Bettie Mae...let's all light a candle for this amazing legend of a woman & pray that she is comfortable & well cared for tonight...

That is so sad. I have been waiting to see if there is an update on her but I have yet to see one. She is such an iconic legend and I admire her greatly. I hate to think of her suffering. Even with how sad it will be when she dies, I would rather her no longer feel any pain and be in a better place then for the suffering to just continue. My heart goes out to her and her family.

well she is 85! not a bad legacy either, she will be remembered. i do hope she will be fine.
