Hey all. Sorry about the delayed intro. Anywho, I'm Eric. 23 year old musician outta Northwest Missouri. I found pinuplifestyle.com searching google for a forum where myself and my wife might be able to find more information on helping her attain the styles that she's looking for, as well as an open and friendly social network. From what I've seen already, it appears I landed in a good spot. Will have plenty of questions for all.

I grew up in a solid black 1954 Chevrolet Bel-Air 4 door post that was my dad's first car in 1968. I'm currently in search of a '54 for myself, although I will probably get dad's passed down someday. That one will stay stock where as mine will be dropped, chopped and leaded and sledded. However all customizations will be in a totally vintage style, maintaining the original 235 straight six blue flame, adding period correct performance parts. No billet, or subframing or anything like that. The car will be my daily driver and will probably go through a primer rod stage only during the period of natural transition to a low and slow street cruiser. I have my eye's on a few that I know where they are at. If anyone has any tips on the locations of any '54 chev's please toss em this way.

I'm currently searching for a bass player, drummer, and charismatic singer/frontman for a rockabilly band here in the Northwest Missouri / Southwest Iowa / Southeast Nebraska / Northeast Kansas area. I'm certain I won't be able to find anyone in the small uncultured town of Maryville where I live that even know's what rockabilly is. I've slung the six strings since I was four. I play anything from bluegrass, blues, classic rock, and jazz to tele-twang and rockabilly. My rockabilly influences are first and foremost Danny Gatton (if you've never heard the album of Danny Gatton and Robert Gordon called "The Humbler" you seriously need to check it out), Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps guitarist Cliff Gallup, Elvis' guitarist Scotty Moore and a good multitude more. My main musical interests are in original rockabilly and new rockabilly in class styles. Not much for psychobilly etc, but I would probably be interested in any heavily instrumental groups out there.

Anywho that seems like enough if not too much for an intro. I'm sure more of me will come out in subsequent posts. Looking forward to getting to know you hep cats and kittens out there!

Here's a quick shot I just snapped off. My son crept into the shot quite slyly.
