"We Are The New Vintage"

Welcome! Every person has their virtues. You're heart leads you and the rest become insignificant. Don't be afraid here, no one will belittle you, hugs and welcome again!
If you are worried because you don't have the 50's curvy body type, that's what the proper undergarments are for. Check out these threads for more info on that: http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/binding-undergarments, http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/50s-new-look-waist-cinching and http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/getting-the-curves.
Other then that what you need is something that sets you apart from the others. Check out the Pin Up 101 section of my website for tips and tricks on getting started. www.roxy-tart.com.
Good luck, and let us know if you have any other questions.
I agree with Roxy Tart, The right undergarments make a huge difference.
I don't have the body for pin-up modeling either :/
Of course there is! It is all about posing yourself properly & confidence. Surprisingly a lot of vintage fashion is quite small, I model vintage quite often and have an extreme hourglass shape. I am often discouraged because things won't fit over my hips. It makes me feel insecure at times, but I try to remember patience is key and that sometimes it takes awhile to find the perfect fit. There is always something for everyone! Do whatever you feel...it is always wondeful to be out of the ordinary anyway. ;)
At 18 you still have a lot of growing to do. Practice what you want to do. Often. I've worked with many young women with your measurements. Mostly fashion. Your height and weight are more important. Health is another factor. Be in shape. A healthy sparkle in your eye will take you a long way. Hugh Hefner started his magazine based on "The Girl Next Door" . Good luck and happy shootings
It's always possible
