Inexpensive Retro Swimwear

I haven't seen a discussion on this, yet and I'm desperate for someone to rescue me from this dilemma. I cannot seem to find ONE decent looking vintage bathing suit for less than $50. I don't have that kind of money to spend. Does anyone know where I could find a good one for a good price?

We all love clothes, shoes, purses, etc. but in todays society why would anyone in their right mind spend more than 70 bux on shoes. Or over 80 bux on a dress. There is no way I would ever do that. It sounds silly but I've actually found quite a few retro swimsuits on www.jcpenny.com and they are on sale for about $40 right now! I have had a hard time with this myself and am so happy to have finally found some inexpensive suits! :)

I really like the one I ordered from Walmart (of all places!). It's a basic retro style and it's very flattering! I got the teal but it also comes in Black, Red and Leopard. Only $32 & shipping was free when I ordered.Check it out here:

I just purchased an adorable retro (almost vintage looking) bikini from Fables by Barrie on Etsy. Talk about stunning! Anyway, it's sale price was right at $50 for both pieces. And I know there are several other sellers on that site that do cary vintage & vintage inspired suits. Best of luck!!
