In need of hair style hold

So planning on going to a prohibition style party for NYE and I'm in need of tips to get my increasingly disobedient hair to stay styled without needing to use half a bottle of extra-strength gel and super hold hairspray. I can get it to style well enough I just can't get it to hold longer than an hour or two :(  anyone have any product or procedural recommendations? They'd be greatly appreciated. :)

When you set your hair, start with a setting lotion (like lotta-body). It will help keep the hold even before you spray.

Like Roxy, I would definitely suggest a setting solution. Drugstores should stock them, although you may have to ask the assisstant where they are as they're often hidden away now! The one I use has a definite granny smell of lavender and it leaves my pin curls crunchy but when I brush them out they always mould more easily and hold a lot longer (sometimes even into the next day if I roughly replace the pincurls when I go to bed).
