my hair is White. I've maintained it for years. the key, unfortunately, is your natural hair color. the lighter your hair is naturally the easier it will be to lift to a white shade. to be blunt, if you are naturally a brunette, it will be a next to impossible task and there will be lots of damage. not only that, it will be MAJOR upkeep!!!

My Process:

When I bleach my roots, I use Wella Blondor with Ion Color brilliance 30 volume developer (I use this particular developer because my scalp is sensitive and this is the only stuff that doesn't give me blisters). I leave the mixture on for 45 minutes. (Keep in mind, When applying Bleach, SPEED is very IMPORTANT!!! I can not stress this enough!!! AS SOON AS YOU MIX THE TWO ELEMENTS TOGETHER IT WILL START TO OXIDIZE!)

After the bleaching is done, my roots are a flourecent yellow. this is what you want. Not orange, not yellow orange, bright ass yellow! if it's too orange, it will not work as well.

here's my trick, instead of using a Toner (toners are pastel colors used to tone out unwanted brassiness) like the T-18, I use ION's HL-V, A Violet based High Lift Color, with my Ion 30 volume. I leave it on for 45 to an hour and shampoo with my Joico Violet shampoo, follow it up with a K-Pak Deep conditioner and Voila!

Keep in mind, you may have to play with developer levels and timing, to suit your particular hair color/type/texture. and if you do it right, you will be able to have this color with minimal damage...

Most of the Products I use, can be purchased at Sally's!!

Good Luck my dear! and lemme know how it turns out! If you have any questions, shoot me a message!

well, my hair is dark blonde (natural) and i use Prisxmligths violets Bleach with 30% prx pure withe and it works perfect ...the thing is tht im a hair stylist and by some random reason after being a blond for ever i decided to change hair color...to Chocalate Brown & i liked it like for a month and after i decided to go back to blonde and tht is actually the hard part and the thing is tht i do it every day for different clients tht go to the Salon looking for hair color changes like that... and i use a protein from REDKEN tht wrks really good so im going to bleach today again the darker tones of blonde in my hair and use a toner after but im not shure if to use the Manic Panic or the Wella Withe Lady because i think the real reason why i didnt like it the first time it was because my hair wasnt at its blondest... ok so im going to start with the process now and see what happens :)

And Thank Ms.Nikki Sin  thankx for all the good opinions and good vibes

PS. I hope im finally happy w my hair color

My hair is naturally dark brown (shhh don't tell) and although it has been every color of the rainbow, white blond or "Marilyn Blond" is my favorite, and my fall back. I use bleach and a violet toner to get my white look. It requires a lot of upkeep, but it's worth it.
LUCK!! You'll love it.. blonds truly have more fun, right Rox!?

Using toners is the key, even naturally as a light blond I have to keep toning it otherwise it goes a gold colour, just our luck as blondes I guess

my hair is colored black and my bangs are snow white.. its very easy it just takes a lot of patience. what you need to do is bleach the ends out to the snow white with bleach & 20vol.. make sure to watch your hair to make sure it doesnt get fragile. dont put more on the roots.. the reason the roots are lifting quicker is because the roots are obviously virgin hair.. once you get it has light as it will go.. use a purple base toner that will cancel out the yellow or goldish color you are getting.. but watch the purple closely..if your not careful your blonde will be purple.. ;) have any questions hit me up on facebook search by ashley renee with pink hair & yellow tank top :) im a hairstylist & would be glad to help!!

Great tips ladies!  I use Clairol Shimmerlights Conditioner, and it works wonders too. Manic Panic Virgin Snow is great too b/c the toner doesn't use a developer so less damage to the hair.

Actually, Renee, or anyone else, do you have any tips to keep the hair from turning blue or purple from the toners?

Mine always seems to pull on my bangs and one particular section on the side.  No matter what, those areas hold onto the toner or shimmerlights and turn blue/purple.  I usually have to have a mirror handy and shampoo out that particular section and re-condition with a regular conditioner.  Kind of tedious, but I don't know what else to do.  I think that part of the hair is more porous.  Probably b/c I use the curling iron there more often, at least that's my theory.  I have naturally light blonde hair though, so my hair at least still looks and feels in good shape.  I don't know why it keeps turning purple, lol, but sometimes it ends up in streaks and looks intentional.  I've gotten more than a few compliments on my purple highlights!  yikes! lol

yup. go to Clairol Proffessional's Website and it's under the list of discontinued items... I work for a company that sell Clairol and they discontinued the Cream toner, Borne Blonde, Miss Clairol, and a couple lighteners.
