Speaking as a former ballerina, if you have to have heels on your pointe shoes, you don't deserve to wear them! I think I'm a 10cm to 12cm on the evolutionary scale.

I just have to chime in that by the smell of the hallway in my building right now, high is pretty damn high...

and to keep this on topic, 12cm is perfect for prancing and 16cm is perfect for bedroom dancing...

i've a pair of 16cm heels, but tbh i've never dared to wear them outside the house, they're fine so long as there are plenty of sofas and cushions around the place... to fall over on ◕‿◕

Oh! It's a heel height thread... I didn't know which kinda high we were gonna discuss here (I happen to be an expert on both mind you). Anywho, the ballet heels are def. fetish heels, made for laying/sitting. You can NOT walk in those unless you've had training like Dolly and myself, years and years of ballet training (and then you really don't need or want the heel anyway). I tend to stick with the 4-5" heel range, that height makes my legs look the best and anything much higher than a 5" is kinda stepping into stripper territory, IMO.
