How does one become a pin up model?

I simply ADORE the clothing, and the life style. I feel like for the first time in my life I have found something that makes me feel complete, cute, and sexy. It gives me that confidence that I had always longed for. I love taking pictures, its become a hobby to me, and have had numerous people tell me that I should get into modeling. Pin up modeling is something that I really want to do. My hobby is turning into an obsession! I browse all the time through numerous vintage clothing sites, like PUG, etc. Dreaming to buy my first pin up dress. I hope that one day that my dream will become a reality. Its becoming something that I think about all day everyday! "Thee who hesitate shall wait" and I do not want to wait around for the rest of my life daydreaming, I have the ambition to succeed, and I'm going to give it my all. :) So my fellow pin ups! How does one get into the pin up modeling scene?

The issue is whether you wish to model professional or just as a hobby.

Understand that there really isn't anything called professional pin up modeling. Pin Up is an aesthetic not an actual category of modeling.

If you're interesting in professional modeling, Cristina DeHart's website www.exploremodeling.com is a great place to start.

If you want to model as a hobby, it's easy enough. There are enough photographers out there who will shoot you for free. Photographers generally are easy like that.

I won't be surprised if someone doesn't contact you.

There's also the option to pay someone to shoot you, but I'd get my toes wet with a free shoot firs.

By the way you do have a good "look".

I was the same way as you for maybe 4 years until I turned 18. Once I became of age I found photogs in my area and asked them if they would shoot me for TFCD or TFP. Some said no, but I found one who said yes immediately. Once I got more into the scene I met other photogs, some just starting out, some experienced, that were willing to work with me. One thing about modeling that breaches all genres is that people will always try to push you and your limits. Know whether you are willing to do fetish, bondage, nude or implied nude before you begin and stick to your guns!!! A good photog will always respect your wishes
