How did you decide on your "Pinup" name?

I LOVE all the names people come up with. Just wondering how you landed on the name you are currently using.
I'm sure you have a great story that goes with that cute name. Let's hear them!

[Spottie OKeefe]

My husband helped me with my name. Spottie is actually a shortened version of Spotlight. He gave me that nickname many years ago when I was a 18 or 19 because I hung out with him and his friends all the time and me being the only girl and pretty I was most often the center of attention weather I liked it or not (I usually did). Everyone in his group of friends had code names so mine became Spotlight and then shortened to Spottie. He still to this day calls me Spottie more than my real name. O'Keefe came from my husband as well. Keefe is his middle name. His Irish family changed their name from O'Keefe to just Keefe when the immigrated here so nobody knew they were Irish (as if the bright red hair didn't give them away). Keefe became a middle name and was his grandmother's and mother's middle name as well. His mom asked for a red-headed, brown-eyed little boy and totally got him so she continued with the Irish middle name. I put the O' back on and used it as my pin-up last name in honor of his late mother (who I was close with) and his Irish heritage! I love my pin-up name because it's totally original, personal, and has a huge meaning to me!

I was at a festival a few years ago, and had these big dlack diamante sunglasses on a complete drug addict junkie kept talkin to myself and my friends and I kept ignoring him, then he shouts at me ''Who the hell do you think you are, mama gucci!!'' And it just stuck, my friends kept calling me that and I decided to keep it :P
The Duchess part came when I was just being my Diva self with my friends one night, as a joke I kept referring to myself as The Duchess :)

the movie 'Miss Petigrew lives for a day', I was delighted with Delyssia La Fosse played by amy adams. so i thought i would incorporate the delish sound of Delyssia into my pinup name and edson helped me change La Fosse to La Belle for ''the beautiful'', the ''delicious beauty''! i loved it.

My name comes from a character in a book by a favored author. Calliope Sincaid was a hooker with a heart of gold who ends up saving the day. I also found out that Calliope was one of the Muses of Greek mythology who was the inspiration for Homer's Odyssey.
I changed the spelling; my real name starts with a K and of course I had to make use of the word Sincaid, it fits my persona so well. So Miss Kalliope Sin-Cade was born.

Mine was my mothers name before she got married to my father. she passed away do to breast cancer. so every time I see a bumble bee I think of her. I love her. think pink

My surname begins with an O, so I added an H and made it Amy Oh!

After all, Oh! is a very cheesecake thing to say while posing. Oh look I've dropped something, I better bend down and get it. Oh look, my skirt is trapped in the door!

Mine is pretty simple- my real name is Louisa and my middle name is Margaret. I was mulling over names I could add to Louisa, since I do like my first name and it's distinctive- I thought of L'Amour, as a play on Louis L'Amour, and Amour as in love...and then I Googled it and found out there's a Dutch porn star named that. Not quite what I was after.

I've been listening to a lot of Pink Martini, so then I thought Louisa Martini...but didn't quite like that either. I started thinking through other alcoholic beverages and Margarita just seemed like a natural fit and to have a cute ring to it.

I was on Facebook one day, and I came across one of their name generators. It said, "What's your Pinup name?", so I put my given name in there, and it came up with "Veronica Wilde". It reminded me of a mixture between Veronica Lake, and Oscar Wilde (one of my favorite authors), and I loved it, so I adopted it!

my real name is KARLY SUE.. i wanted something to go with the SUE... and i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE old soda signs, so Soda Shop Sue was brought up by my BF, and it stuck!
