Help needed!

Hi dolls As part of the commitment I took to kick-start the pin-up and rockabilly lifestyle, I and the founder of Rockabilly Romania have decided to start the first 100% romanian pin-up calendar.
We found a classic car garage that will let us use their cars, a photog to take our pictures and some girls. But so far we have no sponsor, no hair and makeup person and the whole figuring out what the outfits will me is on me! And the whole thing will take place on Sept 18!
I am starting to freak out a little so I would appreciate a little help.
I have and idea of what the girls should be wearing, but I'm so afraid that I'm forgetting something and things will go wrong because of me.
Any ideas on how to attract sponsors and advertise this, because that I have no idea how to do.
Any advice/tips would be a blessing.

I have some great help, I must admit, but being the obsessive perfectionist freak I am I tend to take it all on me even when that is not necessary.

We talked to the owner of the garage and although we wanted to push it back a bit, he said that was the only date when the cars will be available...and we have to dance how he plays because he's the only classic car owner in the area and he's partially paying for the calendar.

I'm afraid to leave the hair and makeup on our own hands because I'm absolutely sure nothing will look how it should, so I would prefer having a professional do it. But as a last resort we will do it ourselves.

But don't sweat it... hopefully it will work out!

As it looks now you have the biggest load and seems to be helping with wardrobe, hair and makeup as well with poses. Ask yourself if it's possible to do this?
Or maybe next year?
Better to go out strong and do a great calender and have people wanting to have the next one too then doing it poorly now and ending of not being proud of your work?


If I where in your shoes and wanted to go though with this project I'd:
*Find a friend to help you with this.
*Ask the rockabilly girls to do all their own styling. Provide them with pictures on looks that would work.
* Ask the rockabilly to led out their clothing or just go with the ones with their own wardrobe.
Also be creative and see if you can find cheap vintage lingerie in thrift shops.
*Provide examples of poses for the girls who hasn't got it.
*Study hair and makeup yourself, practice on friends and be sure to help out as much as possible.

This should be a fun thing, tell the girls about your idea and tell them that IF they are interested in the project with you they all need to help out and create this TOGETHER
Make it a fun day for the girls and be at your best temper, bring snacks and drinks and make a day of it.

well there is still time to practice.
*have everyone practice hair and make up at home until the day of the shoot.
*plan a day where you can all get together and raid closets
*play dress up and create all the outfits everyone will need.
*while everyone is dress up have a dress rehearsal of the shoot. take pics with a regular camers and use classic pictures as posing refernces.
*are there any guys that might help make the pictues more intersting? like a romantic shot?
*remeber that a really cuteout fit might be used twice in the same calendar (just not in adjacent months). Take head shots that cut out the outfit if you need to.
*have everyone arrive SUPER early for the shoot to limit more last minute surprises.

You can really make good use of your time here. I am invloed in local community theatre and we always raid our closests. I have found that constant communication creates a greater sence of urgency amungst those involved, GOOD LUCK!!! xoxo

But check out the internet for ideas or books about hairstyle and make up

Maybe its nice to teach it yourself and some friends. In that way you can do it more often and you dont have to depend on help from others. For this show i think you should do what Tifa said. See if its reasonable to do this in such a short period. Have you thought of the design of the calender? You better take some more time and do it good
