"We Are The New Vintage"

Do you wash them separately? I used to have the bottom half of my hair red, and the top black. I had to wash the top separately from the bottom to prevent black dye from darkening my red. It was a pain in the arse, for sure, but I tipped my head upside down and washed the top half, then tied it up while I washed the rest.
I suggest tying off the blond and keeping it away from the rest as much as possible while you wash the red part, then clip back the red while you wash the blond. Something you could also do to help is coat the blond part with conditioner while you wash the red, so the dye is less likely to stick to it. You could even try vasoline around the root area to keep those pristine... just as it works around the hairline to prevent dying your skin, it should keep the dye from bleeding onto your blond.
