Hair Dye advice please!

So my hair is naturally red. I decided to dye it purple, and had a very unsuccessful attempt at bleaching it first, then trying to dye it (i dont remember the brand i used. something from sally beauty). I had to get this covered by a hair stylist, who just turned it back to normal because they didnt have purple dye in the salon.

I recently dyed it again with Live XXL violet dye. This time its actually purple, but its kind of on the black side. I wanted it to be a lot brighter than this.

Any advice on products/ what to do?
