I was thinking of getting a pinup on my upper left arm to represent who I want to be, but some people I have talked to say that girls shouldn't have arm tattoos. I hope hoping for some more opinions, what do you guys and dolls think?

As aforementioned, if you have thought it out long and hard, and it's something that you are willing to commit to...do it. I can completely understand where you are coming from, Lola. For a really long time I thought that tattooing my arm or having exposed tattoos that were visible, in general, would brand me. I let many people give opinions (some still have negative ones), mostly family, but I came to terms with my decision and went on ahead. The way I saw it, it was a meaningful tattoo to help me with the loss of my best friend, and great grandfather who passed close to 2 decades ago, it was celebrating his life and death to me and im happy I did it. As many of my other not visible to the human eye tattoos, they are a representation of a time, a place or a person or something that depicts experiences. (I am yet to have something just because I think it's cute or pretty, Im sure in time that will come). I also figured, I wasn't doing it out of spite, for attention or to be a quote un quote 'bad ass', I was still me. Im happy with it and im almost done with my sleeve. The topic amongst friends is wether im crazy for wanting a chest piece. We'll see where that goes. I think it's awesome that you want a pin up girl on your arm and that you are using it as a motivational piece. Good luck, hope my rambling helped and im sure deep down inside you've already made your choice.

xoxo
Lizzy

i have one on my left forearm, and nobody has ever said anything bad about it, and it is almost in sight all the time because i don't wear a lot of long sleeved shirts. hard to get a good picture on my phone, but here it is, it's for my little girls. also not the best work, i was letting a friend practice on me.

thank you so much everyone, and to Miss Lizzy D. Vine you are absolutely right i have already made up my mind.
if you want something go for it
never let someone tell you something you want in this life inst for yuo,
and as a women with two full arms of tattoos, yes women can have arm tattoos
hello! some of the most famous pinups in the biz have whole sleaves. plus, this is 2010 , you can do what you want. its all about how YOU feel about arm tattoos. me personaly, it dosnt fit my personality and i dont want to highlight my squirrel wings. BUT if i wanted one there and thought it would look rad , i wouldnt care what others thought. if you want it and you for sure about the place, WITHOUT outside influence. then go for it!

Decorate your body however you want!
i think girls can have any kind of tattoo anywhere we want as well. as long as its something you like &want, it doesnt really matter what other ppl think, and its not their body...i think a pinup on your arm would look very nice :]
hey irl. i have a sleeve and almost done with the other sleeve and i get ALOT of offers. but this is all up to you. sweetness!!! xoxo dollface
Do whatever makes YOU happy. Who is living in the skin? you or them? Um, look around and you will see so many beautiful ladies with arm tattoos. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you can't please everyone, so just do what YOU think is right. Though I'm sure you've already decided so. :)
I agree with the others that you should really think about what you want. As someone with a half sleeve, I have to admit that I sometimes wish I didn't have it. When I was younger I didn't think I would ever have a career, but I now have a professional career and have to hide it. Not a big deal, but definitely a consideration. Sometimes I also think I would look better in my dresses without it. But other times I love it. I wish I had waited until I was 30 to see if it was really something I wanted to do. And i'm in the process of getting a smaller one removed. That is close to torture and not 100% effective, so definitely don't think you could just get it removed if you changed your mind. Good luck!
I think a gal has the right to do whatever she feels like doing.. I personally think arm tats are very sexy on a woman
i think they are SEXXXXY and no one should care what anyone else thinks!!! XOXO ~Someday~
