Did you get your first tattoo on Spring Break in Mexico? Were you wasted on your 18th birthday? What about solidifying a bond with your significant other and getting their name tattooed on your ass?

For better or worse, tell us your first tattoo story!

There's actually a short story about it. For some reason..ppl in school & my lil'Brother would call me Frankienstien!?..the ppl in school did, cuz they, for sum reason couldn't pernounce "Francesica", so i told them to call me by my nic name "Frankie"..and they came up with that^^ (Frankeinstien!?)
Soooo for my first tatt, i wanted it to have sum type of meaning or story. ...Its not the best story, but thats it!! ;-) Frankie w/ a Frankie tatt! lol I wanted to get that tatt for about 3 to 4 years, before i actually DID get it...FOR FREE TOO! Both of my tatts were FREE! I have a cousin who does them in Arizona!..soo thats where i'm getting all my work done at!!..even if i DO have to travel ;-) he's familia!! I think i was 19, when i got my first. My 2nd, i was 21. I got the 2nd one, cuz the bride just goes so well with the Frankie tatt! and i decided to not have em with color, so that way they stay/ look classic, and vintage!!
I have to get my frankie tatt touched up though....i didnt really know how to take care of my first tatt. :-/
My mother was totally against me getting it, but she had NO CONTROL over ME...and when i came back from AZ, she said "i can't believe you wnet thru with it!?" but now she's okay with it, cuz when were out sum wheres, ppl come up to me, telling me HOW MUCH they like my tatts. LOL soo shes cool with em' now!!
Oh I wanna tell you MY first tat story! Lol...it's not exciting in any way at all.

I was 22 and had left my husband of 5 years. It was a blah blah blah horrid marriage. I had just dropped the kids off with their Dad to spend their first weekend with him after the split. On the way back home I passed a little tat shop in the town next to mine. I made a u-turn and thought, you know what...I'ma be crazy for a minute! Haha...I'm so crazy I got a little 3 inch butterfly on my foot. I know I know...wild ass woman. ;) I chose a butterfly to represent freedom. I love it...will never regret it...and it was definately just the beginning to my collection of artwork that is able to tell the story of my life.
I have Tatts older then anyone who was born in 79 ...

Mi Vida LOCA

I was camping under the pinion pines in New Mexico, south of Santa Fe on Route 66, when I drew up this design for a tattoo. I said to myself, while I was sucking up some nasty java in the middle of the desert on a Sunday morning, "What ever I draw now I am going to have done up as a tat on my leg." After I finished the drawing, I jumped into my Little Red Chili Pepper (my name for my car), and drove into town. By some miracle, the tattoo shop was open. There was one person in the shop, she had come in for an appointment she had that morning. She locked up the shop and did my piece. Unbelievable luck. Part way through her boyfriend came in and waited while she finished up. They were good people and I had a great visit with them. Such a great experience for a Canuck on vacation. The funny thing is, just the other day I got a message on myspace from a gal in Cali that saw the original drawing and wanted to know if she could use it for a leg tattoo. "Just send me a picture!" I said.
My first tattoo was when i was 17. My mom took me and got one with me and paid for mine too...lol
I got a Mayan Butterfly, galactic butterfly from the Mayans, and my mom just got some design. I went to Modern ink in Inglewood,CA. Everyone at the shop were excited, to see a mother/daughter getting tattooed. I was scared, but after a few minutes it wasn't anything i couldn't handle....
Apologies for the piggy size of the image. I didn't get it downsized and edited in the alloted time...
And now it seems I'm doing it again. I can't remove the image from the reply. Sorry.
