Well lets see....it was about 3 years ago. A girlfriend decided she wanted to piss off her man and go get a new tat. I had one in mind for quite some time so I agreed, due to boredem, to pick her up and go get mine as well. We hit a tat shop near where we live, but the artist was being a F-ing A-h*** as was the guy he was tattooing so we left and went down the street to another shop. I told the artist what I wanted and a 5 minute tat took about 30 mins!! Due to being ticklish.. LOL I got a triskellion symbol with 'Bryans Girl' written above and below. So yea needless to say, I broke my #1 rule...getting a guys name tatted on me!! LOL Well theres my boring story!!!
To be safe, my first tattoo was behind my ear. I don't see it and I can make it less visable if need be. It is the kanji symbol for water in blue. I love though!!!! so not a mistake at all......working on more now.
My first tattoo i got about 2 months ago. It is a naked pin up girl and its on the back of my leg. It hurt quite a bit and I dont think im going to be getting anymore anytime soon :)
My first tatoos were the roses on my hips when I was 22. I'm really glad I got my lovehandles out of the way first... everything since then has been easier. The spot was tender, and the artist drilled the hell out of it (3 hours just for color on one side!). I ended up with really thick scabs that took forever to heal. Even after getting touched up, the scabs were so deep, that it still needs work. I've gotten a lot more done since then, and I can easily say that everything is a piece of cake after that! I guess I got broke in really well, ha.
My first tattoos those would be the only tats I have so far...I know sad eh? I need to get more done ASAP! Anyhow, I got my Nautical stars about 3 years ago as a birthday present to moi. A friend of a friend was just starting out as a tattoo artist so I was one of first clients too..Didn't turn out bad luckily. And all for 20 dollars and I bought her latex gloves to use. It was done at her house in the suburbs of Vancouver..all very ghetto. Only thing is she was very pissed at me after that. Apparently I had been rude to her roommates. Not because I meant to be but because I'm socially retarded. No I really am. But I digress that's how I got my ink for better or worse. I hope the next tattoo artist I get doesn't hate my guts after. I think I'll chose a guy and it'll be at a real tattoo shop next time. ha.
Wow.. my first tattoo... that takes me back... almost 10 years.. i was 15, i was really good friends with the tattoo shop owners Mike and Teresa.. they were amazing horror movie punk rockabilly fans who owned everything from 3 hearses to a Cadillac couch and had shop tarantulas!! After passing so many opportunities to get a tattoo at every punk party i ever went to *whew*.. I wanted to get a tattoo with my friend mark. we both got nautical stars. mine.. pink and purple - about 3" by 3" a little higher then where a 'tramp stamp' would be.. i think i paid $60 bucks and thought i was the coolest pink mohawked punk rebel out there..i dont remember it hurting at all and i dont remember it healing at all.. i think i was mostly concentrating on hiding it from my mother.. and when she saw it, she flipped a b**** and almost killed me.. haha..

what a great memory! i havent thought about that in forever!

It will be 10 years in February (after nearly 3 years of working on a design) :) My dad drove me to my appointment, despite his initial worries that I was heading down the path to sailor-dom ha ha! I chose my right rib for placement, as I figured this area would withstand the trials of aging and weight changes well. The tat artists warned me that I had chosen a very painful place to get needled, but it really didn't hurt; the experience was rather... transcendent.

I really want to get huge colour pieces down both sides, but am struggling to get the artwork *just right*. I guess in 6 years' time I'll have it all figured out!
Got my first on my 18th Birthday. It was the Phantom of the opera, took 8 months before I finished it. (Shops are too expensive >_<) And it was right before a Rev show! so it was a wonderful 18th! Its kind of eats up my whole left hip and my artist was really heavy handed on the shadeing and coloring. My ribs were nothing compared to that one!
My first tattoo (stars on my hips) I got when I was 16 with my mom. hahaha, It was a mother and daughter bonding experience!
I got my first tattoo in 1999. It was a birthday gift of my brother.
My first tattoo?

On making my decision, I knew that I plan to have a lot of tattoos, and most would probably be reminders of my crash courses with love and hate - so I wanted my first tatt to be solely for my beautiful pleasure. It's beautiful pinup of a wicked little goblin queen perched in tree, surrounded by bats and crowned with stars; a picture I fell in love with a few years ago.

I worked hard to earn the money for my first tatt and now I'm free to get all my future exes inked across my skin as soon as they break my heart. ^_^
