try to incorporate your style a bit. you have but don't be afraid to go all out and wear stocking with tall boots and a short skirt. if its a pin up goth shoot i'd say stick to your own make up like you've been doing and probably hair too. (just check with the photographer for what they're looking for). otherwise think rock star. goths aren't too different from them depending on the style. some people (like my parents) love the classic goth, which is Victorian Style with frilly clothes, trench coats and old school boots. myself i love a mix of a lot of things, i use elements of victorian goth, like frilly skirts, paired with fetish goth corset and Victorian mini coat and mini top hat with maybe a studded belt and a nice polished leather dog collar with frills. its a lot less about what you need, as it is keeping your style so you feel comfortable and knowing what kind of edgy/ gothic the photographer is looking for.
here's a few photos to help, hope you get some good ideas!!! and good luck!!

thank you so much, i decided to go on a living dead doll goth look, i dont have chunky boots, he requested heels, so im sure some ripped stockings wouldnt hurt
My favorite goth look involved a lot of black lace and velvet, smokey raccoon eyes, lots of silver jewelry, and long curly hair. But there are many interpretations for the term "goth" so go with what you like best! It could be lots of black leather and studs with tall boots (like a S&M style), or is could be a frilly corset and ruffled skirt with mary janes and a bow in your hair. One common theme to the goth looks seems to be accessories! Lots of jewelry, etc. Play with it and have fun! I know that in my case, if I'm wearing clothing that's vastly different from something I've worn before, I can find it hard to feel natural posing it, so you may find it helpful to go with what you have, like, and feel good in. Those are my thoughts anyway :)
When I go out I wear the ripped stockings but I also layer them. Ripped black under red fishnet or smaller colored fishnets under larger black fishnets. Stripped pantyhose are a favorite of mine too. If you are go for a Living dead doll look, I would do chipped nail polish too (if he'll let you get away with it). I've never done a goth shoot I just know what I like to wear and what the other girls at the club wear.
Check out my friend Aepril, she's a goth belly dancer, and a great performer. aeprilschaile.com
