i like your style as far as illustration goes. i guess i need to just see more of the story to see where it's going, and to give you more worthy feedback. very cool though. i look forward to seeing more :)
Thank you for the comments! It's appreciated! : ) Yeah, I realize I'm not that good at making a story short and sweet..I always have to go for the epic 1000 page approach...which just means more work for me..no bueno! I did put a summary of the story today so people can read what's happened so far. And I'll try to quicken the pace if I can.
I'm glad you like the drawing style..since I'm always worried about that. I realize I'm not Alex Ross or anyone like that..but then again I've always preferred more expressive styles then realistic ones. If it ends up looking like a blend of Rumiko Takahashi and Tim Sale I'll be very happy!
Anyway, glad you liked it and I hope you'll read the next chapters! : )

for artist styles i'd say check out other female artists; danielle corsetto, carla speed mcneil, faith erin hicks, especially monica gallagher
oh and Svetlana Chmakova
Are these comic book artists? I checked out Danielle Corsetto..that looks like caricature..which is cool but it's not my cup of tea. I definitly would not want to draw pages and pages of caricatures..I'd get exhuasted! For comics I prefer a more easy going style like Rumiko has.
I'm going a manga look and format which means it'll be an epic thousands of pages long story. Unlike American indie comics which are usually short stories. Why am I doing this? Because I'm insane. lol
But thanks for replying!

they're all comic artists, just to name a few, Danielle does girls with slingshots - very expressive characters and excellent pacing in the storytelling [plus funny]
Ok, I got a chance to see it..it's definitly a comic strip (short) so that's different from what I want. It looks good though..I would'nt read it or buy the book but I can recognize the effort there.
Honestly, in terms of who I like and am inspired by I'm pretty set in my ways..I love old school manga and comics such as Osama Tezuka, Masamune Shirow, Rumiko Takashi and for Western stuff I like Alan Moore, Brian Bolland, Tim Sale, Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Brian Azzarello, Jim Lee, etc. I know they're mostly male but meh..it's good stuff!

Oh and Darwyn Cooke! Who I got to meet at Fan Expo last year..I showed him my sketchbook and he seemed to like it..or he was flittering..I dunno. : P He did like the Harley Quinn outfit I was wearing. lol
