For those of us who experience harsh winters, this time of year takes quite a toll on our skin! I for one have extremely sensitive skin and the winter can be brutal. I am wondering what some your dry skin remedies are or what products everyone uses to cure their dry skin?
One product I love is Burts Bees Marshmallow Cream, it is the best at soothing my skin, especially my face. Another product that I found this year is Peachy Cream Butter by Soap & Glory.

dove moisturizer , i love dove products! so sensitive
tea tree oil!
May I suggest trying some Lush products? (www.Lush.com) Yes, I work for the company, but I don't get commission for this sort of thing, - I just have found their products to work extremely well for reasonable prices, and I like a lot of botanicals in my products.

I have fallen in love with Skin Nanny moisturiser, and I don't even have overly dry skin - I just love the heavy-duty feel of it for a night cream on my trouble (wrinkled) areas and can imagine the good it will do for someone with sore winter skin, plus it has sun protection, which we all need. I also recommend Skin's Shangri-La for a day or night moisturizer; it is truly incredible.

From what I have seen of Burt's bees products, they have a lot of integrity, and the Marshmallow Cream sounds like something to check out. Look for products that:
1. Do not contain mineral oil - it's a cheap filler that is no good for our skin
2. Look for cold pressed essential oils whenever possible - more nutrients for the skin
3. More expensive does not mean better - I have seen ingredient lists for high end stuff where the first ingredient of consequence is mineral oil! And cosmetic companies are not required by law to list all their ingredients - talk to estheticians and skin care people without an agenda. Even though I work for Lush, i will tell you that an old fashioned oatmeal egg white mask is better than a lot of things on the market, and cheaper.
Tyra says Vaseline is fierce you could try that...
I have heard good things about Lush, thanks! I use to have some co-workers who used products from Lush.

May I suggest marykay ... www.marykay.com/joleenvargas

I have extremly sensitive skin and am very weary about what I put on it so I used to use all organics.. Eminence products and paid a fortune. UNTIL I got invited to a free facial party.. I wasnt to excited when I found out it was mary kay..honestly I thought old lady stuff that is gonna brake me out..

To my surprise my skin hasnt felt better and its so much more affordable and lasts longer. If interested in some samples please let me know :)
If your skin is cracking physically, you may want to try something fragrance free so that when you do apply the moisturizer, it doesn't burn your skin. Vaseline makes a nice fragrance free, healing body lotion. I also like Estee Lauder's Daywear plus with a tint to bring a little color to porceline skin. It feels nice on dry skin because it has a small amount of coconut oil in it.
