"We Are The New Vintage"
Okay, I did the Playboy Bunny thing for Halloween this past year, and it turned out fabulous! I've always wanted a Bunny uniform in hunter green, but it's impossible to find. I can't sew, but I know some people who can, and I was wondering:
I thought it would be nice and simple to buy a body shaper teddy, like the ones you'd find in the Lingerie section of dept. stores, and sew a layer of stretch satin in the desired colour on top of it. And for the ears, a plastic headband with flexible wire wound to it, and the same satin covered over and glued or stitched closed.
It would probably be a lot of work, and maybe not the cheapest thing in the world, but is it possible? Finding lingerie in that colour seems to be (as well as finding a good corset/panty set without a thong!).

Sewing material over a body shaper might work, just be sure to cut your pieces accordingly otherwise the fabric you use might pull in the wrong places.
Have you looked for any tutorials on how to make something similar to the Playboy Bunny leotard? I know there are also sites where you can purchase a leotard... maybe check there first?
If you've done the costume before, then the search should be easy! Have fun!
I found a site set up by a real former Bunny and she posted a tutorial on constructing a costume. It involved taking an oversized t-shirt and tracing the inside with chalk, just a super thin thing with tiny tail stitched to the back. I have all the necessary accessories, except for the ears in the right color. Been searching for a green leotard on ebay, Amazon, and Google shopping. I'm just thinking I'd need something thicker as a support because the tail i made for my Halloween costume sagged a lot, and at one point i almost lost it.
I'll keep searching though. Shapewear is expensive and I haven't really found the one with the right style.
