Dante's Sand Castle
This guy made a Dante's Inferno inspired sandcastle for a competition a couple years ago. First the sand is piled up in layers that are sprayed with a combo of water and glue so that it's easier to mold. Then the supports are taken off one by one starting at the top where the sculpting actually starts.
