So I'm interested in make my waist smaller. My friend took my measurements, which were 38-32-34.I want my waist to be smaller, not a lot smaller just a tad bit. I've gotten some negative feedback, saying not to do it because I'm to young, being that I'm 17.It doesn't sound like it'd be to bad but I'd like to hear some more opinions(:
Whilst I wouldn't say "don't do it" because I started wearing tight lace corsets when I was 17 (though not with a specific intent to waist train), but don't worry too much about changing your waist just yet. I don't want to patronise, but when I was 17, my curves hadn't really properly developed and my figure was pretty much straight up and down. I'm 22 now and my breasts and hips are a little bit bigger and fuller, so although my waist hasn't actually got any smaller (I know, I measured, haha!) it looks considerably smaller, especially with an underbust corset on.
i'm 21 & just started the waist training... the main thing is to get a realy good corset or it will be very uncomfortable and to take a break from it at least 1 day a week so your back & abdominal muscles don't give out on you (i take the corset off & do exercise every day for at least 20 min then shower & put it back on just to be safe since i have back problems) Basicly that and you will most likely end up with a lesser lung capacity are the main risks. I say as long as your aware of that & are careful about it go for it :)
I also agree with Violet though that your figure may not be threw developing though because mine didn't untill around 19 ^_^
Thanks for posting this! Im 16,my waist is 27 and was planning on starting my waist training withing the next few months! I was curious about it and its been a real big help!
Good luck with yours<33
i kinda want my body to be done growing though! I have a 16month old son so i think that contributes to my higher measurement numbers. Thanks for all the opinions ladies xoxo
