I just saw this movie with my cousin (he's ten years old) this weekend. It was great (and not just for an animated movie) and I definitely recommend it..especially if you like creepy darker movies like "Nightmare before Christmas". I know I do! I was worried it might be too scary for him but he seems fine...but it would be too much for 5 year olds.

It was funny because there were adult couples there with NO children. It seems people here have finally caught on that cartoons aren't just for kids (they've known this in Japan for awhile). There are lots of good ones coming out like "Aliens Vs Monsters", "Up" and this one by Tim Burton, forget the name... My cousin's a lucky kid I'm gonna invite him to see all of them if I can. Gotta love the cartoon movies!

Oh and the movie is set in Oregon and actually looks like it too (I've been there before). And the house reminded of an old house I lived in Vancouver...really miss that side of the world.
: ( So have you seen it yet? Any thoughts?

I already bought my ticket to see it in 3D tomorrow! We'll be a group of adults, no kids.
Loved it! The artful eye candy is mesmerizing!
My date and I went to see it on Valentines day. I got to see the 3D version, and yay for the good 3D glasses, the red and blue ones make my eyes hurt. Awesome movie, buying it as soon as it comes out on DVD!
I saw it in 3D with the new glasses but it still made my eyes hurt! But then again I wear glasses to see normally so I had to put the 3D ones over my usual glasses...Yes I was a double four eyes, ha!
Haha, I was double four-eyed too!

Okay, I got to see it last night (in 3D) and was blown away by the beauty. Also, I now crave a string of giant, illuminated bleeding hearts for my back patio. :)
There were a few tiny kids in the audience with us, and there was some audible fear but no crying.

Thanks for adding the pics! So pretty!! I want an entire garden just like that. : )
So some kids were traumatized huh? At least they didn't see Tim Burton's Batman like I did at six...no wonder I'm so messed up! : P
I didn't notice them in the movie, but does anyone else think those plants along the left look like condoms? No? Just me? Okay, back into my corner.

Oh my gawd! You're right! They're condom flowers!! What are they trying to teach our children?!! (outraged)
To use protection? Ok...that's fine with me. (calms down) : P

I took my kids to see the 3D version and thought it was a great movie. However, my eyes hurt and I got a bit dizzy from the effects that I had to remove the glasses a couple of times. All in all it was a great movie and I plan on buying it when it comes out on dvd.
Cool!! Thanks for sharing that info..I got it done meself see?
