classic pinup photo shoot help

So I bought a beautiful brown satin wiggle dress (which I unfortunately cannot get decent pictures of yet) at the Bettie Page clothing shop in Las Vegas.  I was worried about where to wear it, and then I came up with the idea to wear it in a retro photo shoot. 

I have gold jewelry to make the dress "pop", but I'm missing the right shoes (basic gold flats, or leopard-print stilettos?).

What I need help on is my hair and make-up.  I want to go for something simple, yet elegant. My hair is nearly chest-length and super straight.  I want to do something along the lines of either subtle victory rolls on the sides, or a kind of Dita Von Tease look, or perhaps Veronica Lake with her famous long sweeping bottom curls (photos below).

Not sure at all about makeup, but the colour scheme should be gold, brown, and (as my artist friend suggested) maybe baby blue.

Trying going for neutrals as eye shadow.. like a cafe latte color on the lid and then sweeping a creme color under the brow to open up your eye and bring out that natural shape with a cat eye line.... As far as face try some Estee Lauder double wear in desert beige it might be what your looking for when it comes to photos it is prestige and flawless on camera! Go for a bronzer just on the maxilla bone sweeping upwards, then a pop of blush on the apples of your cheeks try Nars In Orgasm It has a little bit of shimmer that will really frame your face perfect for the shoot. Sense your dress is a pretty chocolate satin , try spicing up your life with a colorful lipstick besides red ...... I would go for like a berry or even a rose color if you are open to color!!!!

 

 

As far as hair dont let the iron control you! Dont be scared of how to accomplish Veronica Mars its soooo easy.. Just take a strand of hair (after you put protecting product in like argan oil) and then just roll the curling iron towards you,,, and go half way and tada Good Luck !!!
