Majority of pinups lips were tones of red and eye shadows were tones of brown. It rarely veered away from those 2.  Also woman with thinner or less dense hair would save their hair from brushes to be used as the center holder for victory rolls so that they were not hollow yet they matched perfectly :)   (Good luck with the magazine, we've got some cheesecake when you're ready)
ohh that is a fun fact, I was doing some research, and I think our frist issue will have how to get a perfect flip in your eyeliner, and and how to do your basic victory roll.... and go from there, I know in my studio we get a lot of grils wanting pin curls.....

As the others have said, red lips (include how to use lip liner so it doesn't bleed), neutral eye shadow, black cat eye liner, false lashes. Those are the basics. But also don't forget flawless skin and cheek bones, important parts of the look that most girls don't know how to achieve.

For hair, victory rolls are the most popular, but for a classic cheesecake look a soft curl tutorial would be better. Also, don't forget to let ladies know that the cut is important for getting the look, the Middy was the most popular.

Good luck, can't wait to see it!
