Camera Suggestions? :)

I have been thinking about putting a new digital camera on my Christmas list this year or well, my own wish-list but I'd like to know, what do you all suggest, those of you photographers out there and the such (or even you guys with awesome cameras!)???

I love photography and I take pictures of everything, everyone, everywhere I go! I adore taking pictures of beauties who enjoy having their pictures taken but I am by no means a professional photographer or anything like that.

I'd just like a camera that I can take great indoor, outdoor and beautiful, real looking shots of people. Even ones that would be able to capture something in action would be nice.

I currently have a Nikon Coolpix (an old one) and it's just not doin' it for me anymore. The flash is broken, it doesn't take pictures of anything but things outdoors and even then, not great.

My boss has a Canon Rebel (dont know anymore than that) that I use at work all the time and I love it but just curious of what else is out there that you guys have had experience with!

Brands? Models? Whatever...

I just got a sony cybershot for x-mas ... it's awesome. the t-300 is the bees knees.. but its expensive.. mine is pretty much the same, only without the touch screen.
I would recommend it.. it takes great pictures in any light.. and action shots in good light turn out great.
i've heard great things about the rebel though.. especially for studio shooting.

I have a canon D1000, they a bit expensive but are really worth it, you can change the lenses so as you get better you can play more and eventually get into the grove of working with different lenses, its good quality and its part of the beginners range so easy to learn how to use them.

Canon G-9 is pretty cool for the money... But I'm a Nikon man myself and would say a D60 is the way to go....

you need the canon 5 d mark II ITS THE S*** and cheap .. 21 mp shoots hd vid and when the birds fly by they go cheap cheap

Welp, I just got a Fuji Finepix S1000 for Xmas from my fiance and I absolutely love it so far! Still getting used to it as I'm not used to having a camera with so many settings but thanks for all the suggestions guys! <3 And with my camera, he got me photography classes so I'm very excited!!! :)
