"We Are The New Vintage"
Ladies Have any of you had any experience with cosmetic tattoos? especially for lips.
I have always been interested in it but never met anyone who had had it done. Any opinions?
Not sure if this should be in makeup or body art.

I don't recommend it.
My best friend is a makeup artist and a tattoo artist, so I got a beauty mark from her, but I wouldn't get anything else. Most of the time these women who do this don't have any previous makeup or tattoo experience. They can seriously mess it up. Also, it will fade over time and when your skin starts to sag (hey, it happens!), it will look weird. Your taste in how you do your makeup may change later on in life and you'd be stuck with what you have. I don't see the benefit of having it done.
Ive really wanted my brows done and maybe a very slight amount of brown liner... just so I dont need to do my makeup every time I leave the house.
I heard that it really isnt permanent, and seems to cost a lot of money if thats true.
It fades with time yes. It is not the same as real tattoos and does not go as deep into the skin. You could, if you really wanted to, have real tattoos done on your face (though not your eyes), but why would you want to?
I don't think it is all that expensive really. It's not an easy thing to do and there are other costs involved like the hygiene issues for one. I suppose it depends how much the time saving is worth to you. For me it is worth allot because I am using cosmetic tattoos to visually correct what I feel is a flaw. I have been correcting it for years with makeup but would prefer to use less and still feel comfortable.

Some time has passed and I have to tell you all that I love my eye brows. It was totally worth it, and although I was told that it would fade, so what. It cost me $200 and I have no problem paying for a touch up in 5ish years. Who knows, in 10 years I might not even care anymore. Bottom line, I'm really happy I did it and would totally do it again.
Fantastic, that's great to hear. Thanks for sharing Roxy!

I was going to get the eyeliner done, buuuut someone in my family had it done first in the best place of my city and stuff, since it was so painful for her I didnt do it, then after a year or so, it became a little blue you know not the perfect black tone you will like to have, and after a couple of years it became more blue and also it doesnt look perfect it looks like blurry at the skin/tattoo line.
