Advice please...

So I've managed to land myself my first ever photo shoot on the 18th July (3 weeks away eeeek), and am trying to come up with a theme. I'm hoping to go with a 1950's style with a touch of 'accidental sexiness' but am feeling a bit unsure about how to put together a good look. If anyone can give me a little bit of advice on a simple but effective formula I would greatly appreciate it.

Look at as many photos as you can. Find ones that you like the style of and use them as inspiration.
