When I was 7 my grandma took me to see the play Gypsy and I've been hooked ever since.
Hey Mimi!

I love Candy Barr for how she moves and her facial expressions. She is also a beautiful woman. She has a pretty neat story, she shot her husband and was sentenced to three years in prison. Not that I want to shoot D'Arcy but she was pretty bad ass..... Ill attach a video link of her at the bottom of this message.

As for Dee Milo, her story was a huge inspiration to me. She has a book with lots of info on all sorts of burlesque performers. If you're interested in learning more about Dee Milo her book can be found here on her website........ http://www.deemilo.com/index.php/media/books .

As for me, starting out in strip clubs was a great stepping stone into burlesque. However, sometimes people don't quite get it. I do it anyways, and I always smile when regular strip club attendees tell me how much they love the fact that Im bringing back class to the strip club stage. Most of the audience really appriciate burlesque. I still work strip clubs here in Canada, and the more I travel, the more I find other features and dancers getting into it as well. Plus, it's great money for pretty costumes and props! :D
