Myspace or Facebook

I recently had a discussion with a friend and were talking about this site. First off id like to say that i really love it btw. Well my friend Roy is a very experienced and successful photographer. Lets call em Roy, dead give away, huh! Anyways he put up a good point for not joining, he said," Whats the point of going onto another web site when everything i need is on myspace." I wrinkled my eye brows and said thats right. So i thought about what i could say after that very true comment. So i replied with, " This place is different, its strictly people in the scene. Its cool you can blog and start discussions. But the cool part is everyone knows when you do it so they can throw in there two cents. I got to thinking ok maybe this site doesn't compare to myspace. So who does? FACEBOOK! So heres the discussion of the day. What does facebook have on myspace. I was listening to Obama crack a joke about his facebook page and i wondered why he didnt mention myspace. I cant help think maybe its because myspace is owned by FOX and FOX is a republican majority station. If you recall they did cost democrats the election 8 years ago by saying bush had already won so people stopped voting. Or maybe im looking too much into it. Maybe Obama thinks that facebook is way cooler then myspace. So what do you think and what do you pick? By the way i have both? But i only use one!

Yea PL wasnt created to compare to myspace, it was created to skim the cream of the crop of the pinup lifestyle and bring them into a new site where everyone "feels at home". In fact it was meant to be the complete opposite of myspace, removing the liberty to upload trash, and talk trash yet giving you the well received features of a Social Networking platform. Facebook...thats a different story ;) Another great thread wonderboy looking forward to hearing members thoughts!

You're right about telling your friend that PL is different. It's way more interconnected. Members participate more because it's a common factor that keeps us here rather then a mess of a popularity contest! I'm glad I can network with other professionals and get second opinions. Plus, this site is really in control of keeping those pesky creepazoids out!
The other sites make me laugh sometimes.
Who's got more friends? Who the hell just "poked" me? Why do I have all of these stupid questionnaires all over my page and have to spam my friends to play along? I don't want to know which cyber stalker has a crush on me! Ick.
People post the most ridiculous bulletins too...
Call me on my cell is my favorite. People are putting their phone numbers on the friggin' internet!
I guess if I had to choose it would be Myspace considering it is so established as a networking tool for pretty much anything you are into. Facebook has too many silly things on it I feel overwhelmed every time I log in which is rare. Fun topic, I've been wanting to say all of that!

i go with myspace over facebook, but this site is better to me then myspace, due to all of the interactivity

I hate facebook !!! Unfortunately, all my friends that aren't into computer networking have an account just to keep up with the times. Myspace has gotten a bad rap for kids meeting pervs, so when you tell a conservative adult you have an account, they stifle a giggle.

Personally, I love myspace for the music networking...find out what's going on with my fave bands, check out new bands I've heard of, peep what's going on in the European scene...I set my home page to myspace UK, cuz the style and music is hot!
The only downside is...which I just found out... it's owned by the shamelessly racist FOX network! I almost want to delete my page! ARRRGH!

Facebook is irritating and somewhat confusing to me...I don't feel in control. All the pokes and quizzes and games are forced on you, suggesting "friends of your friends"..which end up being an exboyfriend... or people that I can't stand...now I'm subjected to seeing their face on my page...thanks!

This website is in a class all it's own...when you're in a lifestyle that borders on the outside of common society, you wanna meet people that are like minded and passionate...it's utopia!

I used to be on myspace constantly. Every day i was getting invites from shitty bands and people I have no interest or anything in common with and have never met. I would send them a message asking why I got the invite and it was just for them to get a larger friend count. Of course there was the massive amount of spam on it too.
Facebook, I was on for maybe a week. I couldn't stand it.

This is my new home. Screw myspace and facebook.

I didn't like Facebook too much, but I do enjoy Myspace. I am finding old friends from High School on there! But myspace also caused problems with my ex. Well, ok, my ex was the problem! lol! But now that I found this site I have been on here more then Myspace! I hope I posted this correct!?
