Okay, so I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get my hair to stay in victory rolls. It is layered, so I am working with a lot of different lengths, and my bangs are side swept. I roll my hair up instead of under, but it's these different lengths that are driving me crazy! Is there someone out there that can give me a few tips. Thanks so much. Kat

Kat,
Victory Rolls are the single most asked about style for us at Pin-ups Hair Design. Practice, practice, practice will make for perfect rolls. Practice and hairspray. Take you sections and hairspray them from base to end. Make sure that they get good coverage. Use a curling iron to help persuade the hair and it's various lengths to stay put. You may also want to use a styling cream to keep the fly away shorter pieces in check. Victory Rolls, as with most other types of vintage styles are very challenging to do for a lot of girls. They're even more difficult to explain how to do! Study the images on our page and on our Myspace and website.

Good Luck!

I have layered hair too, and i've been trying to figure out how to get the rolls to work for my hair too! But like he said, i think it just takes tons of practice...but its very frustrating haha

good luck!
Something else to keep in mind is that the "dirtier" (more products, one day unwashed) your hair is, the easier it will hold. If you just washed and blow-dried your hair, it won't hold quite as well as unwashed hair will.
If you did just wash your hair and blowdried it first, use a bunch of product. Hairspray, a tiny amount of wax and some root spray for volume will help. And, don't forget the teasing :].

Good luck.
x's and o's.
