Fish & Whips Burlesque Contest is back!

After a hugely successful four day extravaganza last year, Fish and Whips Burle...sque contest is back by popular demand; celebrating the best of Burlesque in Berlin! This four day event celebrates the rich history of Burlesque here in Berlin from the classic striptease act right through to the avant garde.
After our sold out 4 day run last July the audience and panel voted for their top 3 acts:

3rd place - Betty Badda-Boo (GER)
2nd place – Operalesque (USA)
1st place – Les Femmes Brachiales (GER)

And now we're back with another contest and this year it's going to be even BIGGER!

I'm delighted to announce we'll be joined once again by our world-class panel of judges:
* Berlin Burlesque celebrity Lady Lou
* Singer, Illustrator and Dr. Sketchy host LaLa Vox
* British Burlesque star Beatrix Von Bourbon

Our judges will select a number of competitors from the 11th, 12th, 13th July to perform again in the final on Saturday 14th July. The judges will then be awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd place to the winning finalists. There will be cash prizes up to €500 and other such goodies including high definition video footage and photos of the performances. Also, of course all competitors are given the opportunity to showcase their work in Berlin and in front of industry professionals.
